BURKElMAN: real sheepies

TDS featured as the face of burkelman’s real sheepies campaign

“The multi-hyphenate performance duo, The Dragon Sisters (Issa & OD), are our latest obsession, and the stars of our new Real Sheepies campaign.

We’ve been streaming their music in the studio non-stop, following the fantasy on IG, and absolutely living for their live shows, which are part performance art, part rap show, part dance party, all energy and all love.

After experiencing their performance of “The Quick Flight Tour” this summer at Jack Brooklyn, and being totally blown away, we knew we had to invite them to the studio to whip some hair, strike all the poses, feel their BURKELMAN fantasy, and create these iconic images.

NYC PRIDE 2022 CAMPAIGN

“As the world begins to emerge from a pandemic that gave society a full reset and forced everyone to reconsider and re-prioritize their lives, NYC Pride is acknowledging that struggle and the resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community. Many have focused on exploring their true selves, coming out to the world with vibrant, loving hearts and souls open to the public - no matter how scary, unsure, or vulnerable it might have been. Others continue their journeys of finding a true sense of self and inner peace. The entire community should celebrate each and every person’s story and provide support so everyone can feel happy, healthy, and safe being Unapologetically Us.”

The Dragon Sisters are honored to be featured in the NYC Pride 2022 campaign alongside a multitude of queer, trans, and BIPOC members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community: Izzy Miz, Julian Gavino, Sicily Sierra, Alithea Castillo, Ezra Michel, B. Hawk Snipes, Yvonne MacInnis, Lijha Stewart, Kirill Kabachenko, Bambi, Clara Lu, Amara Velasquez, Thaddeus Coates, Odalina Duran and Keneta McKellar, Donnie Willis, and Julian Woodhouse.

ABSOLUT’s Out & Open Initiative

FEATURING ODESSA DRAGON

In collaboration with The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), Bowen Yang and many many, more LGBTQ advocates, Out & Open is an initiative that builds on Absolut’s 40+ years of being an ally to the LGBTQ community, and aims to help LGBTQ bars thrive in the face of a steady decline.

“I think the more we see ourselves in free spaces, thinking freely, dressing freely, then it’ll just mean more for not only our community, but for the world.” — Odessa Dragon

Help ensure the future of these safe and empowering spaces by listening to the real-life stories of advocates dedicated to protecting and ensuring the future of LGBTQ spaces on Absolut’s Out & Open Initiative. Each time you do, Absolut will donate $1 to support NGLCC efforts to help preserve LGBTQ bars.

Bombas is back this year with another awe-inspiring Pride collection that includes socks, slippers, tops and underwear.

Plus, Bombas has pledged to donate an item to someone in need within the LGBTQIA+ community through organizations such as The Ally Coalition. For every Pride item purchased, one item will be donated.” — Reprinted from Good Morning America’s “Pride Month 2022: 15 brands giving back to the LGBTQ+ community

“Living without shelter often means lack of access to essential clothing, especially clothing that helps someone best express their truest self. Having the freedom to express oneself authentically has always been vital within the LGBTQIA+ community, and clothing can be an essential part of that.

In partnership with local Bombas Giving Partners across the US and UK, including our year-round Giving Partner The Ally Coalition, we’ll be working to provide inclusive access to clothing for LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing homelessness. The goal is to offer clothing, along with the dignity of choosing clothes that don’t just fit, but help express gender identity, taste, and personality.” — LEARN MORE
